Crime Prevention deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, assisted by Crime Impact Team deputies, conducted checks on probationers at six different locations on Thursday but made no arrests.
All six probationers were found to be abiding by the terms of their conditions, according to officials.
The results indicate the probation check-ups are working, and probationers residing in our areas are aware of our expectations, station officials said in a statement.
A rise in theft and narcotics-related arrests of individuals on probation prompted deputies to step up their efforts to make sure probationers are not out victimizing our residents or residents in any outlying communities.
“Our teams will conduct probationer operations on a continuous basis, and continue to hold probationers accountable to their terms and conditions,” said Shirley Miller, station public information officer, in the statement.
