Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are asking the public’s help in identifying a man and a possible accomplice suspected of stealing a wallet from a woman’s purse at a Santa Clarita grocery store.
Here’s the story from the station’s social media:
“On March 27, 2018, the man pictured is suspected to have taken the wallet out of an 83-year-old woman’s purse while she was shopping in an SCV grocery store.
“Her purse was in the basket of her walker.
“One of the suspect(s) came up to her and started to ask her questions about vitamin supplements. When the elderly woman went to check out at the store, her wallet was gone.
“Shortly after her wallet was stolen, the man pictured below went to an SCV electronics store and purchased items using the victim’s credit card.
“We would like to find out who this individual is.”
If you can ID the suspect, or have any information about the incident, call Det. Greene at the SCV Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121 ext. 5146. Refer to file No. 918-04745-0641-389.
This is one incident in a series of recent wallet thefts at local grocery stores, according to station officials.

Ways to not get much help from the public:
1. Post a thumbnail-size picture of the suspect
2. Don’t say which grocery store in which the theft occurred
3. Don’t say which electronics store in which the stolen credit card was used.
I hope these individuals get apprehended and other inmates find out how they victimized an old woman.
