Renee Leόn, Donor Relations Officer with the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation, has been included in the inaugural Association for Healthcare Philanthropy Forty Under 40 list.
Leόn will be recognized at the 2018 AHP Annual International Conference Oct. 17-20 in San Diego.
The Forty Under 40 program is designed to recognize the future leaders within the healthcare philanthropy community. AHP is honoring these 40 young professionals because they are shaping the future of the healthcare development industry. Collectively, they are changing the world—one campaign at a time.
“Telling member stories and sharing best practices are at the core of what AHP is all about,” said Alice Ayres, AHP president & CEO. “I’m so thrilled that through the Forty Under 40 program, members have shared the stories of our up-and-coming leaders—those making a significant impact on the industry so early in their careers.”
As a Donor Relations Officer, Leόn works closely with the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. She also manages the Healthcare Hero Program for the hospital, as well as targeted capital campaign efforts, donor recognition, naming opportunities and acknowledgment of significant philanthropic gifts.
Leόn holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis and has more than 10 years of experience working in the medical and healthcare field.
“Renee Leόn’s continued pursuit of greatness on behalf of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital shows in her every action,” said Marlee Lauffer, president of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation. “She is a dedicated liaison between the Foundation and its donors, and we are so fortunate to have her as a passionate advocate for our hospital and our community.”
