Thirty-six non-profit organizations will receive funds as part of the 2019 Community Services and Arts Grant Program approved by Santa Clarita City Councilmembers at their meeting on Tuesday.
The annual grants are designed to assist community-based organizations in providing community services, art activities, programs and events for Santa Clarita residents.
The Council made $180,000 available for grant funding to non-profit organizations providing a community benefit, and the city received 59 applications for the 2019 grant year.
Agencies were able to apply for funding within four categories: Community Services, Community Arts, Santa Clarita Presents and Arts Organization Capacity.
Projects eligible for funding include one-time projects or programs, program enhancements, pilot programs, capital expenditures, special supplies and program implementation.

THANK YOU!
May we see a breakdown of how much each organization received?
I already voluntarily support some of these groups, others I would refuse. It is morally wrong to take my money, and the effort required to earn it, and give to groups I do not want to support. Giving it to those I do support is equally wrong and no one else’s business to do, and I resent it.
