Come meet Straightening Reins’ team of professionals specializing in equine-assisted therapies. Spend time with the SRD therapy herd, which includes 5 horses, 2 miniature donkeys, 2 goats, and 9 chickens, all used for therapy! Don’t miss an appearance by an accomplished and experienced guest representative service dog in attendance with the event’s co-sponsor, Redemption Road K9. Redemption Road K9 is a top-rated working dog company based in Southern California specializing in breeding and training working bloodline canines for Medical Service Work, Police K9, Personal Protection and Search & Rescue.

There will be plenty of food, drinks, and prizes for all ages.

SRD provides tools and support that address the emotional challenges facing youth, including but not limited to: teen suicide, recovery, behavioral/emotional problems, substance abuse, violence, child abuse, and communication issues. SRD works to change the dialogue on youth mental health.

USA Track & Field Medalist Norris Frederick:
USA Track & Field Medalist, Long Jumper Norris Frederick has been nearly unstoppable in recent years. As one of the world’s best and most consistent jumpers, Frederick is coming into the season ranked among the top five jumpers in the world.

Santa Clarita is one of the first stops on Frederick’s Goodwill Journey Around the World. This season, Frederick is launching a goodwill initiative and embarking on an incredible journey to circumnavigate the globe as a professional athlete with the aim of helping and supporting children struggling with mental health well-being. At each stop, Frederick will be meeting with educators, doctors, therapists, and business and global leaders to help raise awareness and resources for children in need of mental-health support and resources. As part of the Goodwill Initiative, Norris has pledged 100 hours of community service geared towards helping these youth discover and achieve their dreams
