1834 - Sinforosa, daughter of Narciso and Crisanta, born at Mission San Fernando; mom from Tejon, dad from Piru; believed to be last speaker of Tataviam language (died 1915) [record]

House of Bounce, a unique play center for kids 0-8 year olds, re-opened its doors for the public on March 9, after undergoing a massive upgrade to its space and play areas.

House of Bounce retained most of the features from its previous location (downstairs from its current new location) along with several new ones and now boasts 6,000 square feet of fun added for kids 8 years of age and under.

Children were seen jumping in excitement outside the doors minutes before the ribbon cutting ceremony held and cut by the owner, Tiffany Blankenship. A large crowd of parents and children were standing in the line to get a first glimpse of the newly opened space. Everyone in line was given a chance to spin a prize wheel to win prizes before entering the new facility. To add the festivities, the first 50 people also received gift cards from House of Bounce.

“We needed a bigger space for kids to play and host birthday parties so we thought of moving on the second level of the SCV Westfield Mall with 6,000 square feet to include fun zones for the kids. We cater to small kids where they can not only just play but also simulate their mind by sensory and imaginative play stations,” said Tiffany.

The new space has a pretend play kitchen, a market, building block corner with Legos and tools. The new House of Bounce also incorporated their previous play equipment like the Ball pit and the Banana swing. The new place has a large seating area for birthday parties or even if parents just want to come and work on their laptop, while kids enjoy their play. They also boast a new coffee and snack station, which gives you plenty of snack and drink options to choose from.

Admission for toddlers is $12.50, $15.50 for children 0 to 8 years old and $13.95 for additional siblings ages 0-8. House of Bounce also offer parents “drop & shop” service, through which Tiffany said parents can leave their children under the protection and supervision of House of Bounce staff. The service’s cost is $25 for the first two hours and an additional $13 for each succeeding hour.

With the new space came new services, such as their new ‘Eat & Play’ service. As kids and parents will, and have, undoubtedly become hungry during their visits, House of Bounce has made it easy to enjoy playtime and a hot meal for families during their time at House of Bounce. For $70, a family of four can enjoy 2 child admissions, 2 adult admissions, one large pizza, one large salad, four drinks; complete with disposable plates, napkins and utensils. No need to stop the fun!

“Moms should not worry about the germs as we care about the kids and sanitizes our play area every night, affirmed Tiffany”.

The re-grand opening was welcomed with lot of anticipation and enthusiasm by the parents and children, as evident by the turnout and social media chatter. Indeed, Santa Clarita has got a new venue for kids to play, bounce and have fun!
