Workforce Development will be the topic of discussion at the next Valley Industry Association luncheon.
The luncheon will take place at 11:45, Tuesday, April 9, at the Hyatt Regency Valencia, 24500 Town Center Drive, Valencia, 91355.

As part of “Community College Month,” College of the Canyons would like to offer our business community a look at what’s new. The college now offers programs and courses to help you at every stage of your career. Keynote speaker, Dr. Jerry Buckley, Assistant Superintendent and Vice President of Academic Affairs, will share opportunities for continuing education and workforce training that will keep your employees current and your business competitive.
Dr. Buckley has been committed to teaching and learning, and the impact of higher education on communities for the past twenty-six years. He became the Assistant Superintendent and Vice President of Academic Affairs for College of the Canyons in 2013, and over the last six years has facilitated the delivery of 124 instructional programs to address the educational needs of the Santa Clarita Valley. He continues to help implement career pathways and enhance continuing education opportunities through the college.
