In May, Castaic Union School District is celebrating its teachers and staff with events coinciding with California Day of the Teacher on Tuesday, May 7, and Classified School Employee Week, which will be held from May 19 – May 25.

First, in partnership with Schools First Federal Credit Union, La Momia Tacos of Santa Clarita will be visiting each school and the district office between April 30th and May 16th to cater complimentary lunches to teachers and staff.

Second, in partnership with California Credit Union, Sweet Beams Ice Cream truck will be offering free treats to staff and teachers at all schools and the district office between May 1st and May 15th.

This is the third year that Schools First Federal Credit Union has sponsored meals for Castaic Union School District teachers and staff, and the second year for California Credit Union to offer treats.

“On behalf of the School Board and District Management, I would like to thank you for all of your efforts in serving the children of Castaic Union School District,” said Steve Doyle, Castaic Union School District Superintendent. “Although your roles vary, your dedication and commitment to ultimately serve our students is evident on a daily basis. We all have that common district mission to provide our children with a rigorous education supported by a safe and nurturing environment that maximizes student achievement. You all work so hard to achieve that mission, and we say ‘Thank you!’”
