The last school bell of the year is about to ring and children in Santa Clarita can’t wait for summer break.
It’s the season of hanging out with friends and grabbing ice creams on hot days, but for many parents and guardians that means a scramble to find a place for their children and teens while parents work. Sadly, summer breaks end with adulthood. Fortunately, in Santa Clarita we have a fun, safe, and affordable summer program in the Boys & Girls Club.
Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita provides kids with safe and fun summer experiences that give them the confidence to learn, explore, grow, and discover their passion. From fun games and activities, to summer reading and STEM clubs, Boys & Girls Club is the place where kids can celebrate summer and engage in unique experiences. Breakfast, lunch, and snack is provided daily.
At the Club kids can join in on handball and basketball games in the gym, get involved with teen leadership, or sign up for field trips.
“I’m jealous of all the fun stuff the staff have planned for the kids this summer. I wish I could be a Club kid!” shares Board President, Ann-Marie Bjorkman.
Enrollment is open now and parents can register children 7 and older for just $60 for the first child and $45 for each additional sibling at www.scvbgc.org.
Club hours are 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Summer programs will run mid-June thru mid-August. Parents and guardians can call our Clubhouses directly at (661) 251-6017 for Canyon Country and (661) 254-2582 for the latest information.
With your child’s registration fee, he or she can attend the Boys & Girls Club all summer during general hours of 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. For those parents needing to take advantage of the Early Care program it’s only $10 a day from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Register today then pay as you go for Early Care. Learn about the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley healthy lifestyles, STEM, education, and character & leadership development programs at www.scvbgc.org or on social media.
