New Job Skills Training Courses Offered in SCV
The Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation is partnering with College of the Canyons and AMS Fulfillment to offer no-cost and low-cost job skills training courses in the Valencia Commerce Center.
Initial course offerings reflect training in high demand by businesses in the Santa Clarita Valley, including Distribution & Warehouse Safety, Forklift Operation, Computing & Internet Fundamentals, Digital Communication in the Workplace, and State of CA legally mandated Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for both non-supervisory and supervisory employees. These classes are supported by a grant from Wells Fargo.

Calling All Real Estate Developers
Get the answers you need from Los Angeles County Departments to keep your construction projects on track right here in the SCV. In keeping with the County’s plan for increasing representation in Santa Clarita and improving response times to keep your projects moving forward, Supervisor Kathryn Barger, along with key department representatives, will be in attendance at the inaugural meeting on June 26 at the Stevenson Ranch Library.

StartUp Grind/Fireside Chat with Bill Momary
Bill Momary is the founder and Ceo of Valevo, an app and marketing system that helps consumers “Earn Bitcoin & Save Money at Local Shops and Restaurants”. He was Co-Founder of Ebyline, Inc and served as its Chief Executive Officer until it was acquired by IZEA in 2015, where provided organizational and operational leadership for all content related efforts at IZEA as Senior Vice President of Content until 2017.
Bill has an extensive background in sales, marketing and publishing. He served as the Vice President of Advertising at the Ventura County Star where he managed the Interactive and Print divisions. He built and managed Star Interactive, an online advertising agency and subsidiary of VCS in the Los Angeles DMA. Bill’s previous experience includes Cars.Com, Latimes.Com, Tribune Interactive & Internet Tradeline.
Bill earned a BA in Journalism from California State University.
