Air quality will be unhealthy for all individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley on Thursday, according to the South Coast AQMD’s forecast.
The AQMD’s latest alert also applies to sensitive individuals in the Antelope Valley, the San Gabriel Mountains and the west San Fernando Valley.
In his alert, County Health Officer Muntu Davis, MD, MPH, reiterates his advice to people living or working in those areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases to minimize outdoor activities.
Children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma, and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in unhealthy outdoor physical activity at schools, camps and other recreational programs and should stay indoors as much as possible.
