1920 - Actress Maureen O'Hara born in Ireland; 1961 "Parent Trap" uses Disney Golden Oak Ranch [story]

Tickets are on sale and sponsorships are still available for the nonprofit WiSH Foundation’s fifth annual “Cocktails on the Roof” fundraiser for Hart District schools at the Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall on Friday, Sept. 6.

Hosted by Santa Clarita Magazine and Westfield Valencia Town Center, the event will again take place atop the roof of the Macy’s parking garage at Valencia Town Center.

The evening will feature amazing food, luscious cocktails and spirits, fabulous music and dancing, cozy lounges and time with friends.

Nowhere else can you find all of this in one place in Santa Clarita – up on the roof and under the stars – and help fund student programs at Hart District schools at the same time.

One of the many things that make this event so much fun is the Private Lounge. Get your friends together and reserve a Private Lounge for 8-10 people – your “home base” for the party, complete with modern furniture, cool lighting and space all your own in an intimate, private space next to your favorite food and cocktails.

This year we’ll have raffle prizes including shopping sprees at Macy’s and a silent auction as well, so bring your good luck with you. Come join us as we dance until the very last song of the night.

We are welcoming back our favorites and having new restaurants join us – don’t forget to pace yourselves as you try tasty treats from Salt Creek Grille, Nealie’s Skillet, Wolf Creek Restaurant, Greater Pacific, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, Claim Jumper Restaurant & Saloon, Olive Terrace Bar & Grill, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Marston’s Restaurant, Red Lobster and much more.

Wet your whistle with creative signature cocktails by all the restaurants, plus JFC International, Honu Coffee, Alpine Distillery, Pomp & Whimsy Gin Liqueur, Dulce Vida Tequila, Mammoth Coffee Roasting Co., Wolf Creek Brewery and more.

Of course, no event could ever happen without the help of some amazing partners and WiSH is very fortunate to have Santa Clarita Magazine as our co-host and the generosity of Westfield Valencia Town Center as they once again provide us with the perfect venue for a “party with a cause” on a summer evening under the stars.

Many thanks to our sponsors Littler, Macy’s, California Credit Union, Chiquita Canyon, SOS Entertainment, United Site Services, Burrtec, Oakridge Landscape, Gymnastics Unlimited and Jennifer Ramos, Social Conduit.

If you would like to be a sponsor, please contact Executive Director Amy Daniels at wish@hartdistrict.org.

Tickets can be found at www.cocktailsontheroofscv.org.

21 and over only, please be responsible. Plan on leaving your vehicle in the garage at night or better yet, take alternate transportation to and from the party.
