Students can research and discover important information on a variety of web platforms, including “brainfuse.” This site supports many learning needs and styles – provides worksheets, tutoring and more!

Middle schoolers can learn about historical figures on the “Biography Reference Center,” site which offers a comprehensive collection of full-text and narrative biographies. High schoolers can explore life across history and cultures with “Daily Life Through History.” This site lets students find out about past civilizations through social customs, traditions, food, celebrations and even occupations.

Students aren’t the only ones who will benefit from library resources – the Santa Clarita Public Library website also has guides for parents. One of the most valuable links helps parents navigate the Common Core State Standards. This new way of learning can be challenging for parents who learned the basics in a very different way than is currently being taught.
