Members of the Santa Clarita Valley community were invited to a grand-opening ceremony for the Performance Institute at Henry Mayo Fitness and Health.

The October 29 event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tours of the Performance Institute and the Fitness Center’s new Pilates Reformer Studio. Guests were able to speak to sports fitness and rehabilitation experts and enjoy giveaways, refreshments and more.

Also, the first-ever Santa Clarita Valley Battle of the Fittest High School Competition was featured during this event. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to cheer on their favorite teams as they competed in an obstacle course set up in the Performance Institute.

After the team from West Ranch High School clocked an evening-best collective time of four minutes and 26.47 seconds, Henry Mayo presented a $500 check to the WISH Education Foundation, earmarked for West Ranch’s athletic program.
