April 12: ARTree – Figure Drawing at ARTree Community Arts Center
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Are you an artist frustrated with the lack of opportunities to draw in Santa Clarita? Come to ARTree Community Arts Center for a chance to really explore your creative potential using a live model. Just drop in and bring a pencil and paper.
Every 1st, 2nd and 3rd Thursdays of the month, with some additional dates throughout the year.

April 12: Arts Commission at Santa Clarita City Hall
Time: 6:30 p.m.
The five-member Arts Commission meets on the second Thursday of the month, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
Members of the public wishing to address the commission may do so by completing a speaker’s slip upon arrival at the meeting. There is a three-minute time limit per person.

In this warm and funny comedy, three Jewish widows meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves. Ida is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris is priggish and judgmental. Then along comes a man and the trouble begins!

Time: 8:00 p.m.
Continuing our celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the revival of TMU Theatre Arts, we are delighted to bring this gorgeous, musical adaptation of Francis Hodgson Burnett’s “The Secret Garden.” Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon’s music and lyrics are a perfect addition to this beloved story of forgiveness, redemption, and the importance of love and community. After her parent’s untimely death in India, lonely Mary Lennox is sent to live with her reclusive uncle in Yorkshire, England. Members of the household and community reach out to Mary to try to sooth her broken heart, but they are surprised by the ways she – with the help of a forgotten and secret garden – is used to bring them together.
