The city of Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival has announced the lineup of performers for the 30th anniversary event to be held the weekend of April 18-19 at William S. Hart Park in Newhall.

Dave Stamey and Sourdough Slim are among the popular entertainers returning to the stages of the 30th Anniversary Cowboy Festival. It wouldn’t be the Cowboy Festival without other festival regulars which will include trick roper Dave Thornebury and The Messick Family Singers.

More than a dozen entertainers will perform on three stages at Hart Park.

The event will be held Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the city of Santa Clarita William S. Hart Park, 24151 Newhall Ave., Santa Clarita, CA 91321, in Old Town Newhall.

General admission is free. Enjoy access to live entertainment, Western vendors and interactive experiences at no cost.

To elevate your cowboy cultural experience tickets will be available soon for exclusive VIP access and special ticketed events happening throughout the weekend:

VIP Cowboy Cantina

Exclusive access with BBQ lunch, drinks, and performer meet-and-greets. Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Hart Hall Patio.

Californio Fiesta at Rancho Camulos

Western concert, lunch buffet and museum tour. Friday, 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Rancho Camulos Museum.

Cowboy Family Night

Family-friendly music and cowboy storytelling. Friday, 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Newhall Family Theater.

Dancing into the Dusk

Line dancing, country music, mechanical bull and food trucks. Saturday, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., William S. Hart Park.

Living History and Demonstrations

Step into the Old West with interactive camps showcasing cowboy life, historic craftsmanship, and frontier traditions. Watch blacksmiths at work, visit a chuck wagon, experience life at a cattle camp.

SCV History Center

The SCV History Center creates the perfect western backdrop to stroll among the historic buildings, see a steam engine and learn about ongoing restoration efforts to preserve Santa Clarita Valley history.

Pioneer Corner with Gilchrist Farm

Experience pioneer life with hands-on activities like candle making, wool spinning, leather stamping and gold panning. This interactive space lets you step into the shoes of early settlers and try your hand at old-time skills.

Horseshoe Honky Tonk

Stomp your boots at the Horseshoe Honkytonk with four different DJ’s leading line dancing lessons in the afternoons.

Watering Hole

Take a break at The Watering Hole, a shaded hideaway where live piano tunes set the tone for a laid-back western vibe. Quench your thirst with a cold beer, crisp wine and refreshing seltzers from Lucky Luke Brewing.

Get Hitched

Say “I do” Western-style at the historic Ramona Chapel! Witness Cowboy Weddings throughout the day on Saturday or visit SantaClarita.gov/Weddings to plan a one-of-a-kind ceremony in this charming frontier setting.

The Barnyard

Home to rescued farm animals, The Barnyard offers a unique opportunity to meet and interact with various critters, from ducks and geese to pigs and alpacas.

Games and Challenges

There’s no shortage of Wild West action at the festival, from lassoing and mechanical bull riding to sharpshooting and ax throwing. Take aim and try your luck at Gold Rush Games, sponsored by Damien White Farmers Insurance.

Keepsakes

Become the most wanted outlaw with a custom caricature Wanted Poster, courtesy of City of Hope Santa Clarita, or roll up your sleeves at the Craft Corral to make a pinwheel, tin can candle holder, or paper bag outlaw puppet—keepsakes straight from the frontier.
