The College of the Canyons Foundation will host its annual Alumni Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner on Thursday, April 20.
The college’s Alumni Hall of Fame was established to honor and recognize College of the Canyons alumni who have made outstanding professional achievements and served the surrounding community and/or college in a significant way.
“College of the Canyons has served as the launching pad for countless individuals who have made a mark on the world in their respective fields,” said Chancellor Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook. “It is an honor to celebrate this group of talented and committed alumni whose accomplishments have made a difference in the community and have ignited a belief in endless possibilities in the next student generation.”
Being inducted into the College of the Canyons Alumni Hall of Fame’s 2017 class will be:
Sue Walroth, Class of 1997 — Outstanding Alumna
Director, Telemetry Services, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital
Dale R. Donohoe, Class of 1982 — Outstanding Alumnus
President, Intertex Properties
Jessica Ta, Class of 2014 — Rising Star Recent Alumna
Test Operations Engineer, Space X
Trevor L. Brackett, Class of 2004 — Rising Star Recent Alumnus
Counselor/Associate Professor, Norco College
Judith & Elliott Wolfe — Outstanding Friends
Each year the Alumni Hall of Fame also honors Outstanding Friends of the college who have supported COC in a significant way.
The Rising Star Recent Alumni award was introduced in 2016 and recognizes those individuals who have achieved significant professional success within 15 years of their graduation date.
The College of the Canyons Alumni Hall of Fame Induction and Dinner will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, in the lobby of the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center located on the college’s Valencia campus (University Center Drive entrance).
The cost to attend the dinner is $25, with tickets available for purchase through the COC Foundation.
Visitors to the Valencia campus can also view the college’s Alumni Hall of Fame Wall, located on the first floor of Canyons Hall, during regular business hours.
