The Antelope Valley (AV) History Museum is proud to announce the groundbreaking and construction of its new building on the AV Fairgrounds.

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at the AV Fair, during the Rural Olympics, Saturday, Aug. 24, at 6:00 p.m. The groundbreaking will be followed by a fireworks show.

Construction of the new 12,000-square-foot building will begin after this year’s Fair. It will be double the size of its current location and includes plans for a future Phase Two 6,000-square-foot addition.

Celebrate all 10 days of the AV Fair in the museum and see local history spanning from indians to outer space.

Support the museum at the Saturday, Sept. 28 fundraising dinner. Tickets are available in the museum, at the AV Fair and online. For more information, to volunteer, or to become a donor, go to www.avmuseum.org. For more information on the AV Fair, visit https://avfair.com.
