Rotary Club of Signal Hill honored for their contributions through the School Supply Program for students of three schools.
Presentation of the Health Agency’s monthly report on anticipated impacts of Federal changes to the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. (Item S-1 Report Pending)
Authorizations sought for execution of agreements with contractors and/or homeowners who wish to participate in the Second Dwelling Unit Pilot Project. (Item 3-D, Relates to Item 34)
Supervisors Barger and Hahn recommends the establishment of a Blue Ribbon Commission on Public Safety. (Item 2)
Supervisors Ridley-Thomas and Barger recommends the Executive Officer of the Board, County Counsel, and Chief Executive Officer review and amend the ordinance for the Quality and Productivity Commission to allow for recomposition of the Commission. (Item 5)
Supervisor Ridley-Thomas recommends the Commission for Children and Families convene a work group with stakeholders whose current scope and mission include objectives relevant to the foster youth community. (Item 6)
Supervisor Hahn recommends a five-signature letter be sent to Governor Brown and the LA County Legislative Delegation in support of requiring the development of a Statewide firefighter pre-apprenticeship program to aid local fire agencies. (Item 11)
Supervisor Hahn recommends the transfer of $770,000 from the County Library’s operating budget to the Avalon Library Improvement Project. (Item 12)
Recommendation to authorize the Acting Director of the Information Systems Advisory Body to execute a contract with Infor Public Sector for PIX Cloverleaf Application Management Services for a maximum contract amount of $7,381,510. (Item 15)
Recommendation to authorize a ten-year lease for the Department of Mental Health for the continued use of 23,400 square feet of office space and 30 on-site parking spaces, at an initial annual base rent of $1,096,860. (Item 17)
Recommendation to approve and authorize the consultant services agreements for an aggregate total not to exceed amount of $6.25 million. (Item 18)
Recommendation to approve an Operational Agreement between the Chief Executive Office and the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority for a total of $172,958,000 for Fiscal Year 2017-18. (Item 19)

Recommendation by the Claims Board to authorize a $375,000 settlement of a lawsuit alleging civil rights violations, wrongful death, negligence, and battery arising out of the death of a mentally ill inmate at Twin Towers Correctional Facility. (Item 43)

- Existing litigation regarding a civil rights action alleging retaliation for engaging in protected activities.
