Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” will be screened outdoors in the picnic area at William S. Hart Regional Park in Newhall on Friday, August 18, starting at dusk.
The free screening is part of the 5th annual “Summer Movies in the Park” series presented by the county of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation and the non-profit Friends of Hart Park.
Pre-movie entertainment will be provided by Nancy Degan and Cherries Jubilee, the Miniature Trick Horse.
Blankets, pillows and lawn chairs are OK. Unleashed animals, smoking and alcohol are prohibited in the park at all times.
Food, snack and craft vendors will be available.
Hart Park is located at 24151 Newhall Avenue, Newhall 91321.

Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios will release the new feature animation film "Elemental" on June 16. The film is directed by California Institute of the Arts alum Peter Sohn (Film/Video BFA 1999).
