The woman whose body was found in a parked car Thursday afternoon in Newhall has been identified by officials from the county coroner’s office.

Jazmin Gonzalez, 22, of Newhall, has been identified as the woman whose body was found in a car parked on a street in the Happy Valley section of Newhall, said Lt. David Smith of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.

Gonzalez had not been examined by officials with the Coroner’s office as of Friday morning, Smith said. The cause of death has not been determined.

Gonzalez was not the occupant of the house which the car was parked in front of on the 22400 block of Shadeland Drive, officials said.

Robert Hadnot, a Shadeland Drive resident, said he saw the car parked on the street when he left for work at 3:30 a.m., approximately 13 hours before the discovery was made.

  18. Back in 1997 scv was one of the safest cities no crimes no graffiti now it’s worst than Compton what’s happening the city is full of criminal ‘s and drug dealers. ..need to hire more cop’s to clean up those type of activities instead of writing traffic citations.
