[KHTS] – Part of a big rig overturned Sunday morning, resulting in oil leakage and the closure of all lanes in the vicinity of The Old Road and Rye Canyon Road at the entrance to the Valencia Industrial Center.

California Highway Patrol received a call about the second tank of a two-tanker big rig flipping over at 7:22 a.m.

The driver was making a right turn from The Old Road onto Rye Canyon Road, but the cause of the accident remains under investigation, said CHP officer Priessman.

About 40 to 50 gallons of oil leaked onto the road, but fire crews were able to remove the rest of the oil from the truck safely, Priessman said.

All lanes remained closed until just after 1 p.m.
