2017 Film In California Conference

Saturday, May 20th | CBS Studio Center in Studio City

 10 am-6 pm

Produced by the California Film Commission (CFC) & Film Liaisons in California Statewide (FLICS)

Presented by ABC Studios & The Walt Disney Studios

Don’t forget to register for the only conference held exclusively to promote filming in California.

Registration closes on THURSDAY, MAY 18th at 5pm.

Those who don’t register by Thursday @ 5pm, can register on-site for $145.

Take advantage of the 50% off promo code (below), and register

 before Thursday evening.

Sessions will include “The Making of This Is Us” with cast member Chris Sullivan (Toby), plus informative panels on “Film Financing for Independents,” “Sustainability – the Greening of Hollywood” and “Content Production & Distribution in the Rapidly-Changing Digital Age.” The schedule wraps with presentation of the 2nd Annual California Golden Slate Award by actor Jason George (Grey’s Anatomy, Kidnap, Mistresses, Playing the Field, With This Ring) to Shondaland’s Betsy Beers (Executive Producer of Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Still Star-Crossed, Private Practice and the upcoming new drama For The People). The award, which was first bestowed last year to Ryan Murphy, honors an individual who champions filming in California and whose body of work has generated thousands of in-state jobs. Ms. Beers is also being recognized for her commitment to diversity, which serves as an industry model.

Another highlight of this year’s conference will include a video message from Director/Producer/Writer Ava DuVernay presented by A Wrinkle in Time Producer Jim Whitaker.

What began 10 years ago as a modest California-only trade show and wine-tasting reception for location managers has grown into a day-long conference for professionals representing all facets of film, TV, commercial and digital media production. The focus is on learning how to make the most of California’s vast production resources, while getting up to speed on key industry issues.

Gain valuable information and network with colleagues, industry vendors and film commissioners from across the state.

For more information & to register for 50% off, go to: http://filmcalexpo.com, and use Promo Code: CFC2017

We hope to see you on Saturday!
