The California Rental Association election results are in and Rusty Parr, president of A V Party Rentals has been named the newly elected president.
The California Rental Association (CRA) is a nonprofit trade association that has represented the equipment and party rental industry since 1946 from their offices in Sacramento. Parr has been a long-time fixture within the CRA, boasting over 15 years of service on the board and previously holding both the offices of Treasurer and Vice President of the CRA.
In his new role as President, Parr will have the opportunity to lead the committee and board of directors, make decisions for the association, and be involved in more CRA functions. The election is decided by a vote across all CRA members and is a well-deserved honor for the association veteran.
Rusty Parr is also President of A V Party Rentals, a company that he says, “has enjoyed the many benefits of CRA membership for over 40 years.” The Parr family purchased A V Party Rentals in 1972 and has worked hard to grow the company in the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The A V Party Rental showroom has been a fixture in downtown Newhall since they moved from their original building in 1986.
Through the decades, Parr has witnessed the growth that the party rental industry has experienced and cites his company’s partnership with the CRA as a powerful tool for many of the business advancements they have made. “The CRA gives us networking opportunities as well as the chance to learn from other industry contemporaries across the state,” explains Parr. He is also a believer in the mission of the California Rental Association to promote high standards and ethical practices, encourage all of its members to help support one another, learn and grow, and to provide education to the public about how the rental industry can better serve them. It is because of this that Parr is so excited to take on his new position. “I am honored and looking forward to a great year with the CRA,” reports Parr.
