Homicide investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are dedicated to solving murders and putting suspects behind bars.
Their tireless efforts paid-off this morning when they arrested two men suspected in the murder of a Palmdale resident, Vincent Roper.
The incident began Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, on the 37600 block of Patty Court, Palmdale, when deputies were called out to the residence regarding an “open door” at the location call for service.
Upon arrival, deputy personnel entered the location, and found Victim Vincent Roper, male Black, 64 years of age, unconscious on the floor.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded, and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
During the investigation, detectives discovered that Victim Roper was murdered. He suffered stab wounds and blunt force trauma to his body during the incident.
On Thursday, homicide detectives arrested two suspects for murder:
Suspect Francis Tulanda, male, black, 40-years-old, resident of Canyon Country.
Suspect Christopher Brandon, male, black, 32-years-old, resident of Los Angeles.
The motive for the murder was a home invasion robbery gone awry. Their booking photos are not available for release to the public.
They were both booked at Palmdale Sheriff’s Station and are being held in lieu of $2,000,000 bail.
The investigation is still ongoing.
