The Canyon Theatre Guild has awarded scholarships to four Santa Clarita Valley high school graduating seniors.
Riley Milton was awarded the Mike Levine Scholarship, Rachel Kugler the Darryl Roberts Scholarship, Shannon Corbett the Greg and Patti Finley Scholarship, and Jasmine Gawra the Douglas and Mercy Holiday Scholarship.
Each scholarship is for $500.
Every year the Canyon Theatre Guild awards a variety of different scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Santa Clarita Valley.
“The youth of America are the future, and the Canyon Theatre Guild believes in investing in our youth,” said CTG Executive Artistic Director TimBen Boydston. “It is an honor to help these bright young people in their continuing education.”
The CTG is a nonprofit arts organization which productions 10 full-scale productions a year. It also produces a wide variety of afterschool, homeschool and summer workshops for young people.
“There is no better way to instill confidence and team building skills than putting them in a workshop where they work with their peers to put on a show,” said Jennifer Teague, the CTG’s director of youth workshops.
