The College of the Canyons football program will host a free coaching clinic for local high school and youth football coaches on Saturday, Jan. 23, at the college’s Valencia campus.
Beginning at 8 a.m., local high school and youth level football coaches are invited to sit in on a series of presentations led by members of the COC football staff, as well as coaches from other nearby institutions.
The day’s events will be focused on a variety of different aspects related to both coaching and developing strong player fundamentals at the youth level.
The clinic will begin with a morning meet-and-greet session for coaches and presenters. Coffee and light snacks will be available.
Each session will run approximately 30 minutes in length and be followed by a 15 minute Q&A session.
“We look forward to hosting our first annual College of the Canyons Football Coaches Clinic,” said COC football head coach Ted Iacenda. “It’s important to establish relationships with local youth and high school football coaches because they are the lifeblood of our program.
