College of the Canyons defensive back Bryan Mills (pictured above, with his proud parents) is the latest Cougar to commit to a four-year school after signing with North Carolina Central University.
North Carolina Central University (NCCU) is an NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program located in Durham, North Carolina. The Eagles compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Mills, who attended Quartz Hill High School, appeared in eight games for the Cougars in 2018 playing both in the COC secondary and on special teams.
He finished the season with 12 total tackles contributing to a defensive unit that limited opponents to a state-best 9.5 points per game through the regular season, and surrendered just 10 touchdowns on the year.
Canyons posted a perfect 10-0 regular season record to claim the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Division, Northern League Championship.
Fifteen members of the Cougars’ 2018 conference championship team have signed with four-year schools so far this spring.
