The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has identified the man killed in a solo crash on Sierra Highway between Santa Clarita and Agua Dulce early Sunday morning as Brandon Scott Isaman, 31, of Palmdale.
Isaman was driving his 2018 Chevrolet Malibu south in the 15100 block of Sierra Highway south of Davenport Road at an unknown speed when the car crashed into a fence and a concrete pillar, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP received a call at 2:42 a.m. Sunday reporting the crash. Isaman was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:03 a.m. by Los Angeles County Fire Department first-responders, according to the CHP.
The initial CHP report listed Isaman as a Lancaster resident, but Ed Winter, L.A. County Coroner spokesman, confirmed Palmdale was the victim’s city of residence.
“An autopsy is pending,” Winter said.
The cause of the crash is not yet known. The CHP is continuing its investigation.
