Canyon Country (East): Crime Report for the Week of June 13, 2016
The following crimes were reported last week:
06/13/16
Petty Theft-19100 block of Golden Valley Road
An unknown person entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet containing a driver’s license, Social Security Card, and U.S. Currency.
06/15/16
Burglary-16600 block of Shinedale Drive
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence and stole two televisions, a laptop computer, and an iPad.
Burglary (Vehicle) -Silver Saddle Circle
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle and stole two plumbers’ snakes, two drills, and batteries.
06/16/16
Burglary(Hot Prowl)-27300 block of Fahren Court
A suspect (M/H 15-17 yrs old) smashed the sliding glass door and entered the location. The loud noise woke up the victim’s 13-year-old son. The son confronted the suspect inside the location, who ran through the smashed window and out of view.
Grand Theft Auto-18300 block of Sierra Highway
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2000 white GMC truck from the location.

Grand Theft Auto-19400 block of Golden Valley Road
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s blue 2006 GMC 2500 from the location.
06/19/16
Burglary-18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road
An unknown suspect smashed the front window of the location and stole the cash register and several phones.
Burglary (Vehicle)-27200 block of Sierra Highway
An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle and stole a notebook computer.
Grand Theft Auto-18100 block of Sundowner Way
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s tan 2002 Dodge Caravan from the location.
As the Fourth of July weekend approaches, as a reminder, it is unlawful for any person to handle, give away, sell, offer for sale, solicit the sale of, manufacture, possess, purchase, use, ignite, explode, fire, or otherwise discharge any fireworks within the city of Santa Clarita according to Section 9.60.030 SCMC. Fireworks may cause burns, injuries and fires. Violators can be held responsible for damages, as well as having to pay a fine and/or go to jail.
