Here is the Castaic/Val Verde (Zone 2) public safety and crime information report from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for the week of January 1, 2018:
1/02/18
Grand Theft – 31000 block of Castaic Road
The victim reported a toolbox filled with tools was stolen from his work truck around 2 p.m. Among the tools stolen was a Milwaukee brand magnetic grinder.
1/03/18
Grand Theft Auto – 27000 block of Elk Ridge Road
The victim reported his silver 2008 Honda Civic was stolen from the driveway of the location. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
1/03/18
Theft – 32000 block of Cypress Way
Two separate homeowners reported items stolen from their vehicles during the early morning hours. One of the vehicles was unlocked and the other one had a smashed passenger window. A wallet and a purse were the target items inside the vehicles.
1/04/18
Theft – 27000 block of Elk Ridge
The victim reported a Tom-tom brand GPS was stolen from a parked vehicle during the early morning hours.
1/04/18
Theft – 29000 block of Avenue Sherman
A business reported 30 wooden pallets were stolen from the outside storage area. The theft occurred during regular business hours.
1/05/18
Grand Theft Auto – 20000 block of Castaic Road
The business reported a white and blue 2018 Husqvarna motorcycle was stolen from their locked storage yard. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
