Castaic/Val Verde: Crime Report for the Week of May 30, 2016
The following crimes were reported last week:
5/31/16
Vehicle Burglary- 30000 block of Clover Court
The victim reported a backpack containing a laptop was taken from his vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
6/4/16
Commercial Burglary- 28000 block of Hasley Canyon Road
Unknown suspects attempted to pry open the business door. No entry was made and nothing was reported missing. The crime occurred at 2:55 a.m.
6/5/16
Commercial Burglary- 32000 block of Castaic Lake Drive
The business manager responded to the location for an alarm activation. Upon arrival he noticed the suspect was still inside the location. Responding deputies arrested a female suspect found inside the location. The crime occurred in the early morning hours.
Public Safety Tip- Fireworks are Illegal
Fourth of July is just around the corner. Remember that fireworks of any kind are illegal in Santa Clarita. Help reduce the risk of a wildfire, and stop needless injuries related to the use of fireworks. If you see or hear fireworks, call the station and report the location.
