Located in Santa Clarita’s Arts and Entertainment District in Old Town Newhall, the Santa Clarita Business Incubator is a comprehensive program designed to stimulate local economic growth by promoting entrepreneurial innovation for creative and technology-focused startup companies.
Marking its fifth year in operation, the Santa Clarita Business Incubator is pleased to announce that current Incubator tenant Celitech and past graduate AdVRtas have both secured their first patents.
After joining the Business Incubator program in 2018, Celitech has diligently worked on developing its technology, which enables people traveling internationally to access data connectivity at local prices through a web/mobile app or application programming interface (API). This year, Celitech’s founder, Ahmad Al Fares, has furthered Celitech’s reach by securing the company’s first patent for developing technology that can connect devices like smartphones to cellular networks without using SIM cards. Additionally, as a member of Forbes Technology Council, Celitech has frequently shared insight into mobile trends and the impact of data connectivity advancements through the global platform and most recently shared how eSIM technology will change the way people travel internationally.
AdVRtas, one of the first graduate companies to participate in the Santa Clarita Business Incubator program, was also the first platform in the world to launch a 360-degree programmatic ad unit in 2016. Since then, the company has been working with some of the world’s largest consumer brands and ad agencies, helping them to better engage audiences on mobile with 360-degree motion-activated display ads and marketing content. AdVRtas was recently granted a patent that helps secure its position as a leading innovator in the creative ad technology space by enabling brands, advertisers, ad agencies and creatives to leverage the company’s best in class technology. The result helps bring scale to advanced media formats, helping to define the future of consumer digital engagement.
AdVRtas also recently launched a software as a service (SaaS) platform that enables advertisers and creatives alike to build immersive content using 2D assets and/or 360-degree assets, which is the first platform of its kind. Content created on the platform is some of the best performing immersive content in the world because it benefits from AdVRtas’ patented technology. The patent issuance is what the company foresees as the first of many as it continues to invent new ways to make tomorrow’s media technologies available at scale today for advertisers and marketers.
