Bouquet Canyon Road will be closed on Friday, December 23 at 12 p.m. in anticipation of an overnight storm.
“The closure is expected to be overnight for the duration of the storm,” said Los Angeles County Public Works spokesperson Steven Frasher. “The road will be inspected and if everything looks good, the road will be reopened as soon as possible after the storm, which should be by midday Saturday.
“All of this is in accordance with the protocol we developed with the community,” Frasher added. “When we have these kinds of circumstances, we want to give as much warning as we can.”
Bouquet Canyon Road, from six miles south of Spunky Canyon Road (near Mile Marker 12.55) to the southern boundary of the Angeles National Forest (near Mile Marker 15.97).
Local access will not be permitted until the road closures are lifted. The closures will remain in effect until the storm system has passed and the roads have been inspected.

Well Hooyah! The County can’t make sure that it is safe to travel Bouquet Canyon Road, so it is closed. The reason is that Bouquet Canyon Creek has run onto the highway. Why? Because the road is overrun by the creek and it’s silted up so badly that there is no place left for the creek to run. Except across the roadway. And that means water, silt, and slippery driving on the road.
You (AND ALL OF US)should not be subject to that lack of quality drivability and so the road is closed. If you live there, then you are on your own.
