Before his accomplishments in the United States he developed many students as well as cultivated experience in Bucharest, Romania, his hometown.
His world of Ballroom dancing began at the ripe age of nine where he trained and competed with several dancing clubs. These days you can find him continuing to grow with Arthur Murray. With his gained knowledge and accolades, he offers a wide range of perspectives which he loves to share with fellow students, staff and colleagues. Enthusiastic, a hard worker and dedicated are just a few words that describe this dancer. Creative with his choreography and vision, he will definitely transform your dancing and your outlook on it.
Wendy Yamada began dancing at the early age of five, studying ballet and tap at the local parks and recreation in Downey. This led to a lifelong passion of movement and expression. She dabbled in gymnastics at age seven and also studied a little piano. Later on her growing interest in dance led her to discover jazz, modern, hip-hop and even cultural dances such as African and Flamenco dances. During her college years she was a part of the theater and dance department where she received scholarships and performed on stage.
Wendy was exposed to the world of ballroom dance as an adult, and it’s been her opportunity to use all of her dance disciplines in one art form. She joined the Arthur Murray family in 2010 and has been happily teaching here ever since. She has competed in the professional American Rhythm category for the last four years and holds the 2015 Canadian Salsa champion title as well as the Bachata champion at the Unique Dance-O-Rama for both 2015 and 2016.
Since its inception in 1946, Arthur Murray Dance Studios have been widely popular.
Today the franchise boasts over 260 locations worldwide in 21 countries.
