Deputies at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station want to remind residents of the “9 PM Routine” and to be sure to try and follow a routine every night to secure your property, residence, and vehicles.
Part of the 9 PM routine is:
– Remove valuables (electronic devices, wallets, etc.) from your vehicle.
– Ensure vehicle doors and trunks are locked.
– Check all house and property exterior doors and garages are locked.
– Turn on exterior lights.
“These are simple things the community can do, before they go to bed, to partner with us to prevent themselves from becoming a victim of crime,” says Captain Robert Lewis.
To join the 9 PM Routine and help spread the word to your community, show your 9 p.m. Routine with the hashtag #9PMRoutine and follow the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and the city of Santa Clarita social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Don’t forget to also lock and load your guns and be sure your cameras and alarms are working
I also have a length of chicken wire fencing just stuck in the grass across one side of house. You totally can’t see it at night but would sure hear someone tripping over it, LOL
What urban terrorscape exists in your Twilight Zone?
What urban terrorscape?
It used to be out there to keep the Chihuahua from squeezing through the fence but now I just keep it out there just in case. Very safe area though.
What a disgraceful human being you are “Kris”
TeamSCV leave Chris alone. As an american he is allowed to protect his family if someone tries to harm them.
I hope he is a responsible gun owner and would not shoot unless his life or family was in danger. To ASSume otherwise like you did is unfair and DISGRACEFUL.
