Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station following up on residents’ calls targeted cars that had been parked too long on Canyon Country streets Tuesday, and made an arrest for narcotics along the way.
Here’s the story from the station’s official social media:
We came, we saw, we cited.
Residents from a few different Canyon Country neighborhoods reached out to their assigned crime prevention deputy regarding “quality of life” issues.
They reported cars that had been parked on their streets for months and concerns about possible gang and narcotics activity.
This morning, six crime prevention deputies tackled the areas of concern. They cited drivers for vehicle violations and had cars towed.
Some of the vehicles parked on the street had expired registrations in excess of a year.
Deputies also arrested an individual for narcotics charges in the area.
No gang activity was noted, but we will be coming back to recheck.

Cops are now tax collectors
collecting for their pension fund
Huh? Collecting for their pension fund? That’s as hilarious as collecting taxes. The county pays their pensions, not the city!
…and this most probably violates the Fourth Amendment.
Huh? Tax collectors?? Hilarious!
Keep up the great work and keep pushing forward. Hopefully people will get the hint to either shape up or ship out.
Obey the law people!
Or get shot!
Crime rate is going up and they are wondering why? Low hanging fruit.
Read the stats. Crime rate not going up.
Keep up the great work
Meanwhile, speaking of “Target(ing),” the deputy who parked his/her unit on the sidewalk in front of Target for two days apparently believes s/he is above the law s/he is supposed to enforce. (To wit: CA VEH, Chapter 9. Stopping, Standing, and Parking 22500f.) (I have pictures.)
AWESOME USE OF TIME!!
Revenue Generation..
Revenue generation? Not!

“We came, we saw, we cited.”
And
“Some of the vehicles parked on the street had expired registrations in excess of a year.”
One city, one vision.
Tow em!
Broken window theory. I agree with if you don’t take care of the small stuff it spreads like cancer. Look at the SFV!
Good! Canyon County has been being used as a garbage bin for vehicles for quite some time now
