1942 - Emery Whilton's Florafaunium opens in Lebec [story]
Florafaunium

The Domestic Violence Center (DVC) of Santa Clarita Valley is accepting applications for Adopt-a-Family 2017.

The local non-profit is seeking community members who are looking to give back this holiday season by adopting one of DVC’s client families and provide them with a bit of cheer.

Whether as an individual, family, or company donor, this is a gift that gives back tenfold, both to a family in need and to you in the knowledge that you helped your community.

Christmas can be an added stress for families who are struggling with a new normal–a different home, a life without one parent, and relocating schools or jobs can all be frustrations of leaving an abusive situation.

By providing a holiday for them, you can relieve some of that burden, all while reminding them that they are not forgotten.

To losing my baby sister for 8 years an I now took on her 2 year old an I have a 12 year old. An do whatever I can for my sisters babies that past. I’m not the one to reach out for help but if any one can that would mean the world to the kids.
