Jammie Sue Gladsjo, known to the Santa Clarita Valley business community as Jammie Cotton, died in her sleep on Thursday, July 2, at her home in Pahrump, Nev. She was 43.
Friends are planning an event in Santa Clarita on Aug. 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to celebrate her life.
Cotton was born Oct. 22, 1971, and graduated from Reseda High School in 1989. She studied at UCLA and joined the staff of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce in the 1990s. She was also active in Soroptimist International of the SCV.
About 2009 she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a medical condition characterized by widespread pain and fatigue.
She moved to Pahrump, where her parents lived, and where she married Richard Gladsjo on May 11, 2013.
She is survived by her husband and her parents, Carolyn and Ken Indra.
Friends said she was cremated in Nevada.
