The 19th annual Creation Symposium at The Master’s College will take place Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013.
The theme is “A Christian Response to Atheism and A Creation Response to Natural Evil.”
Critics of Christianity challenge the idea that there is evidence to support that God exists. In addition, some critics also add that the imperfection in nature, as exemplified by disease, pestilence and natural disasters (natural evil) works against the idea that there is a benevolent creator God. What is the Christian response to these views? Our speakers will be providing a Christian response to these critiques. Come join the discussion on Saturday February 23, 2012.
Special Speakers: Dr. Gordon Wilson and Pastor Douglas Wilson. Pastor Wilson was recently featured in a film “Collision” which was about his friendship and debates with renowned atheist Christopher Hitchens.
A local atheist group has been invited to participate and respond to Pastor Wilson.
The afternoon sessions will feature Dr. Gordon Wilson, a biologist at New St. Andrews; and Master’s College faculty.
The afternoon sessions will address the issue of “A Creation Response to Natural Evil”, beginning at 2:00pm, and will include a dinner with the speakers at 5 p.m. (This session with dinner will require a registration and fee).
The free evening session will address “A Christian Response to Atheism”, and will begin at 7 p.m. on the campus of The Master’s College.
