Los Angeles County firefighters are mopping up after dousing a small brush fire off Soledad Canyon Road in Acton Friday morning.

“We had one structure threatened, but as of 11:02 a.m., forward progress had stopped, and they’ve started mop-up,” said Marvin Lim of the LACoFD.

Lim said a call about a brush fire was received at 10:24 a.m. in the 8000 block of Soledad Canyon Road, between Indian Canyon Truck Trail and Briggs Road.

It was a first-alarm brush fire involving half an acre to an acre in heavy brush, Lim said. Crews dispatched at 10:27 a.m. were on the scene at 10:36 a.m., he said.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation, he said.
