SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Brett Croft, former standout midfielder for The Master’s College men’s soccer team, has signed a contract with Melleruds IF, a Swedish Football Leauge professional club based in Västra Götaland County. Notably, Melleruds IF competes in Division 3 Nordvastra Gotaland and plays their games at Radavallen in Mellerud, Sweden.
In his time as a Mustang (2011-14), Croft appeared in 75 matches, scored 31 points (11 goals and nine assists), produced five game-winning goals and was a two-time All-GSAC selection. More recently, Croft has competed for the Santa Clarita Storm, a UPSL PRO club team, scoring seven goals over the course of nine games in 2015 campaign.
Commenting on Croft’s professional debut, TMC men’s soccer head coach Jim Rickard stated, “The Masters College soccer team is very excited for Brett to showcase his talents while being a witness for Jesus Christ in Sweden. He has been a tremendous player for us and we are thrilled for him in this opportunity.”
