[KHTS] Grammy Award-winning rocker plays concert to help raise funds to provide instruments for Golden Valley High School Marching Band.
For over 40 years, Kenny Loggins has influenced the music scene with such classics as I’m Alright, This is it, Footloose, and Danger Zone, to name a few.
Last night, the legendary artist lent his talents to help the next generations of musicians by performing a benefit concert at Golden Valley High School, with proceeds going toward new instruments for the school’s marching band.
Playing to a packed house of five hundred eager fans, Loggins and his band wowed the audience with a performance that included all of their favorite hits from his extensive songbook, while providing a level of intimacy with personal introductions of each song.
The highlight of the evening came when Loggins was joined by the Golden Valley High School Marching Band for a rousing rendition of Footloose. The band then presented him with his own Golden Valley Marching Band jacket.
The concert lasted just over 90 minutes, closing with the top 40 hit, Forever.
