The Hart School District has announced the selection of Jon Carrino for director of technology services, following approval by the Governing Board at its regular meeting held on May 7th. Carrino will replace Dr. Danny McHorney, who has worked for the district for more than 15 years, where he was hired as the District’s first director of technology services. McHorney has announced his retirement.
Carrino has more than 14 years of experience in educational technology in progressively increasing responsibilities and management roles. He is the current supervisor of technology services and has worked in the technology department since 1999. Previous positions included computer network technician II, network systems administrator and his current position, which he has held since 2007.
Carrino has a Bachelor’s of Science in Information Systems from Cal State Northridge and was the Hart School District Administrative Center Employee of the Year in 2002.
“I am honored to have been selected as the new director of technology services,” Carrino said. “I am excited to help lead the Hart School District into the future of educational technology.”
