The Hart girls basketball team continued their Cinderella season with a thrilling overtime victory over the Golden Valley Grizzlies Tuesday night at home.
The Indians overcame a 15-point deficit late in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 63 at the end of regulation. They went on to win 69-68 to improve to 3-0 in league play. Golden Valley is now 0-3.
The last two seasons, Hart’s girl’s basketball was 2-18 in Foothill League play.
The key moment in the game came with 1:35 to play and Golden Valley leading by 10.

Hart’s Emma Johnson (right) was fouled shooting a 3-pointer. The shot went in (her first 3-pointer of the season) and when she made the free throw completing the four-point play, Golden Valley’s lead was cut to six.
Hart’s full-court press caused Grizzly turnovers that resulted in four more points for the Indians and a 63-61 difference. The Indians’s Sophia Jacobsson (below) calmly drained two free throws in the closing seconds to send the game to overtime.
