Basics of Intellectual Property
This class will provide business owners with an introduction to the 4 types of intellectual property (IP): copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and patents. Business owners will learn why IP is a valuable, revenue generating asset for the business; how to create, protect and enforce the company’s IP rights; and how to avoid violating the IP rights of others. The class consists of live lecture with handout material, a fun in-class activity and student “hands on” participation in a lively, interactive atmosphere.
