Overtime and penalty kicks were not good to our Foothill League boys soccer squads in the playoffs on Feb. 11. And the result was that only one of five teams, yes, the one that did not have to go to overtime, collected a victory. None of the Foothill League girls teams had to go to overtime, and two out of four came away with victories on Feb. 12.

We need it to come up to Shadow Pines from Lost Cyn. Accessible for runners and bikes. Great for the youth in the area.
Even more importantly, there needs to be a safe way for pedestrians to get from Roadrunner to Lost Canyon without walking on the tiny curb or going to the top of the bank and duck walking under the railroad bridge. That portion of Sand Canyon has never been safe for pedestrians, is impassable for wheelchair users and stroller pushers, and is located less than a half mile from two elementary schools. If it was safe to walk that stretch perhaps more kids could walk or bike to school rather than being driven.
