William S. Hart Union High School District and Castaic Union School District officials will host a presentation to update the community on the progress of Castaic High School construction on Tuesday, January 30 at 6 p.m.
Castaic Middle School Principal Bob Brauneisen will host the event in the school’s MPR at 28900 Hillcrest Parkway in Castaic, and the public is invited.
Hart District Superintendent Vicki Engbrecht and construction Project Manager Randy Wrage will make presentations, including photos and drone video from the construction site, said Dave Caldwell, Hart District public information officer.
“It’s primarily giving updates on where the project stands,” Caldwell said. “It’s really an opportunity for members of the Castaic community to get a good first glimpse of what the school is going to be like for their kids. And they’ll be able to ask questions of Superintendent Vicki Engbrecht as well as other members of the Hart District staff and provide input on the school.”
The project is still on track to open in the fall of 2019 for 9th grade only, Caldwell said.
