The game was back-and-forth much of the night, with the JetHawks squandering two one-run leads. Lancaster led, 5-4, in the eighth inning, but the Giants knotted the game on a Heath Quinn single to force extras.
In the tenth, Wander Franco hit a two-run home run off of Alexander Guillen (1-1) to give San Jose the decisive lead. Rodolfo Martinez (3-1) earned the win in relief for the visitors.
Ramos was heard from again, with an RBI single in the bottom of the inning to bring the JetHawks within one, 7-6. Patrick Ruotolo then struck out Jacob Bosiokovic to end it.
Lancaster went 2-for-15 with runners in scoring position in defeat. San Jose is now 5-0 in extra-inning games, while the JetHawks fell to 1-1. Lancaster is now 7-4 in games decided by two runs are fewer.
