– A therapist at a Santa Clarita Valley juvenile camp facing a child molestation charge is due back in court in March, officials said Thursday.
Ana Patricia Moennich, 37, worked as a therapist at Camp Mendenhall, a probation camp in the Lake Hughes area, where the victim served a juvenile sentence, said Deputy District Attorney Seth Carmack.
Moennich is charged with having sexual relations with the teen between April 27, 2013, and Nov. 22, 2013 while he attended therapy sessions.
A criminal complaint against Moennich cites three charges: contact with a minor for sexual offense, oral copulation of a person under 18 and child molestation.
She faces six years in state prison if convicted of all charges.
Her next pretrial hearing is March 20.
She was initially arrested Aug. 29, and she was released on $50,000 bail later that day.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
